Visual - Various Work
This case study contains some just for fun visual designs as well as more visual based product design work.

Aimé Leon Dore
I’ll start with saying I love this brand. I love the photography, the clothing designs, and the overall style of the brand. But I thought all this could be portrayed a little differently on their website. I wanted to explore using full bleed images for their product pages and using more white space to capture the high end elegance of the brand.

Stylescapes
I recently took a course on Stylescapes (similar to mood boards) and decided to apply it to a hypothetical Asian American Studies magazine. Stylescapes use “found” images on the web to help drive high level brand and design directions. I explored three different options, some more bold and bright and others a bit more muted and sad.

Ampersand
Ampersand is a shoe and bag repair store located in Tokyo, Japan. A friend of mine raved about the owner’s ability to repair any type of shoe or bag but was turned off by the owner’s website. Specifically, the website had no mobile view. I decided it would be a good exercise to convert the website over to mobile because I had never done this for a Japanese website. I’ve also never worked with Japanese typography so I knew this would be a good challenge as well. Japanese typography definitely has its own constraints and limitations and tackling them turned out to be quite fun and rewarding.

Pairforce
PairForce is a pair-programming application that allows users to instantly share their local machine with their entire team, anywhere in the world. It was created by one of my coworkers at Originate and our team was tasked with redesigning and improving PairForce. Below is a screenshot of the final product.

That's it for now!
I’ll be adding to this portfolio piece every now and then, please check back if you’re curious!
